Abstract

409,440. Jigging conveyers; sifting- apparatus. WEST, F. J., WEST, E., and WEST'S GAS IMPROVEMENT CO., Ltd., Albion Ironworks, Miles Platting, Manchester. Dec. 8, 1932, No. 34808. [Class 78 (i).] The supports for a jigging conveyer or grader tray are composed of flexible steel cable a, Fig. 1, enclosed within rubber and fabric. The cable is encased by a rubber sheath b around which several layers of fabric and rubber c are wound. An outer sheath of tough black rubber d is provided. The fabric may be in tape form, or may be of the same width as the length of the cable. The ends of the supports are conical and limit their movement through the two-part collars e, Fig. 2, secured to the tray f and tray carrier g.
