Abstract

<PICT:0409390/III/1> For lubricating the bearings of the rotary receptacle 1 of a dry-cleaning machine longitudinal troughs 16 are provided on the inside of the stationary casing 4 for catching and directing to ducts 18 leading to sumps above the bearings drops of liquid thrown up by the rotary receptacle. The machine is provided with two driving spindles of which one, 5, is directly attached to the rotary receptacle, and the other, 9, is geared to the first by step-up gear 8, 7. The same driving crank 6 may be selectively fitted to the squared end of either spindle; when it is fitted to the spindle 5 the receptacle is driven directly at normal speed for the liquid treatment and when it is fitted to the spindle 9 the receptacle is rotated rapidly for centrifugal drying. The bottom of the legs 21 of the casing are formed as inverted cups fitting over springs secured to the base 25 whereby a resilient mounting is provided for the casing to damp vibration during centrifuging. The receptacle and casing are formed from sheet metal and the bearings of the spindles 5, 9 are formed in one piece of metal rigidly secured to one end wall of the casing.ALSO:<PICT:0409390/IV/1> For lubricating the bearing of the rotary receptacle 1 of a washing, dry-cleaning or dyeing machine longitudinal troughs 16 are provided on the inside of the stationary casing 4 for catching and directing to ducts 18 leading to sumps above the bearings drops of liquid thrown up by the rotary receptacle.
