408,877. Centrifugal spinning pots. COMPTOIR DES TEXTILES ARTIFICIELS, 5, Avenue Percier, Paris. Sept. 29, 1933, No. 26879. Convention date, Dec. 2, 1932. [Class 120 (ii).]. Spinning-pots for the production or treatment of artificial or other textile yarns comprise an imperforate outer shell and drainage passages, such as 13, 14, Fig. 1, and 64, 65, Fig. 11, communicating solely between the interior of the pot and the rim. Various forms are described ; in that shown in Fig. 1, a liner in two parts is provided, the outer part 11 being imperforate and the inner 12 provided with radial and 'longitudinal passages 13, 14 ; a single piece liner may be suitably drilled to provide the passages, or the shell of the pot may be suitably drilled and provided with an exterior sleeve ; as shown in Fig. 9, an inverted bowl 52 provided with drainage passages 53<1>, 54 is adapted to be removed with the spun cake; as shown in Fig. 7, the cover 41, which is self-sealing, is provided with drainage holes 42. The shell may be made of any material, preferably metal such as aluminium, aluminium alloys, stainless steel, or nickel chromium alloys such as Illium. The liners and the bowl 52 may be made of chemically inert material such as rubber, resinous condensation products, glass, or porcelain.
