Abstract

Surfaces of buildings, monuments, &c. are cleaned by spraying by steam or other hot fluid a solution containing 20 per cent by weight sulphate of alumina, 2 per cent reducing agent such as boric acid, 0.5 per cent sulphuric acid, and 1 per cent hydrochloric acid.
