Abstract

408,173. Bottle-washing machines. ENOCK, A. G., Dutch House, Raglan Gardens, Wembley Park, Middlesex. Nov. 7, 1933, No. 30900. [Class 138 (i).] A bottle crate is provided with centrally placed rigid bosses of metal, wood, fibre, &c. on those sides or ends whichabut against other crates in passing through a washing, &c. machine, the thrust of one crate on another being taken by the bosses. As shown, the crate comprises metal corner pieces B and partitioning wires welded in position, and metal bosses A are riveted, welded, or brazed to rigid metal strips a ; but the sides of the crate may be solid and of metal or wood, and the bosses may be stamped from the metal or are made separately and attached as by flanges or extensions to any appropriate member of the crate. The invention is applicable to crates with flat or flanged sides, or constructed of stamped plates, tubular, wire, or strip frames, &c. Specifications 290,037, [Class 138 (i)], and 363,033 are referred to.
