Abstract

407,475. Piston apparatus for discharging receptacles. TRIER BROS., Ltd., and TRIER, F. N., 36, Victoria Street, London. Dec. 7, 1932, No. 34642. [Class 102 (ii).] A lubricator comprises a cylindrical container A closed at its lower end by a base A<1> having a discharge passage A<3>. A tubular member C is secured to the base A<1> coaxially with the container, the interior of the member C communicating with the discharge passage A<3> and also through a lateral bore C<1> with the interior of the container A. Thetubular member C extends freely through an aperture in the upper end of the container A, and is provided at its upper end with a grease gun nipple C' whereby the container A is filled. A spring-pressed piston D mounted on the member C carries a sleeve D<2> surrounding said member and extending therewith through the upper end of the container. The sleeve D<2> indicates the position of the piston within the container and may be coloured or distinctively marked. A screw E is provided for varying the area of the discharge passage A<3>.
