Abstract
406,616. Preventing skidding. HANS, J. F., 321, St. John Street, Clerkenwell, London.-(Hanel, F. ; 1, Adalbertstrasse, Schlachtensee, Berlin.) Oct. 17, 1933, No. 28732. [Class 108 (ii).] A device for preventing skidding of motor vehicles includes a weight a mounted on a V-shaped frame c situated in a plane parallel to the rear axle and with its downwardly directed apex located vertically under the central longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The weight moves under inertia forces against the action of helical springs d, d<1> which are each secured to the carrier and to the weight. Antifriction rollers b mounted on spindles g in a recess a' in the weight facilitate its movement ; the weight is further guided by a spring-pressed antifriction roller e. Dustproof gaiters f, f<1> are provided.
