[Class 144 (ii).] A cushion tyre is formed with a cavity b of crescent-section which communicates by passages f, g with continuous channels d, e in the tvre-base. The channels d, e are arranged over checkvalves h, i on the wheel-rim k to obtain a cooling air-circulation, as indicated by the arrows. The cavity b may be continuous or may be divided into compartments by flexible radial partitions.
