Convention date, Sept. 23, 1932. [Class 140.] Composite glass panes, suitable for use on transport vehicles, are made by cutting to size two or more sheets of glass having different coefficients of expansion, heating them, and welding together while hot, for example by pressing or rolling. A sheet of glass may be sandwiched between two sheets having a lower coefficient of expansion, and the thickness of the outer sheets regulated by grinding and polishing.
