469,937. Shaping paper or other material. CROSS, R. C. Feb. 1, 1936, Nos. 3081 and 11480. [Class 100 (ii)] [Also in Group XVII] Paper or like cartons are sealed by a waxed or similarly treated angle-strip f, Fig. 3, of paper or other pliable non-metallic material, corrugations g being formed in the strip and the mouth of the container by means of a heated punch and die. To allow for variations in thickness, the punch or the die or both parts are composed of independent slidable elements n, Fig. 4, normally held in correct alignment by a resilient backing such as springs or an indiarubber block o. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 388,038, [Group XVII], (as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts).
