404,795. Inserted-tooth saw. HAFNER, J., 39, Neuestrasse, Balingen, Wurtemberg, Germany. Nov. 24, 1932, No. 33308. Convention date, Nov. 26, 1931. [Class 145 (ii).] Circular or frame saw blade a has teeth inserted in recesses bl, b<2> arranged alternately on opposite sides of the blade ; the recesses have arcuate portions d<1>, d<2> receiving similarly shaped portions on the foot c of the tooth so as to secure it radially ; the foot is fitted flush with the blade. The tooth f is supported along its whole length by a ridge g on the blade, and is shaped to grip over this ridge, as in Fig. 4. The blade is provided with notches m between the recesses, and distortion of the teeth is prevented by projections h on the blade. The teeth are secured by spot-welding at i, k. Cavities l in the blade and tooth allow circulation of air to cool the blade ; hollow rivets may be welded in these cavities.
