Abstract
291,699. Fenton, H. A. Nov. 29, 1927. Divided application. Teeth, artificial.- Dental impression trays of the hollow water-cooled type are provided with tubular eyelets, reverses, or the like into which the plastic composition is pressed, so that on cooling it becomes fixed to the tray. The tray preferably comprises an outer plate 2 and a smaller inner plate 1 formed with a flange 5. The plates are connected together by soldering so as to leave a water space 7, which may be of uniform depth or may be deeper towards the front of the tray. The flange 5 may be omitted and a separate strip of metal arranged between the edges of the plates 1, 2. Tubular eyelets 20 pass through the tray and are secured by rivetting and soldering. A handle 10 and water inlet and outlet tubes 8, 9 are provided. Warm water may be circulated to soften the composition 21, which is then pressed on the gums and passes into the evelets 20, and is then caused to harden by circulating cold water through the tray.
