[Class 86] [Also in Groups I and XIV] A device for Suflening and mixing butter, fats, pastes, cheese or other foodstuffs which soften on heating comprises a hollow receptacle A with a filling aperture D at the back for insertion of hot or warm water and closed by a cock E, the rear portion of the receptacle being rectangular and the front portion wedge-shaped, a handle F being attached. The portion B may terminate in a knife-edge C. The receptacle may be cast in one piece with the handle, which may be of wire, soldered &c. thereto, or both may be made of sheet metal.
