Abstract

404,359. Holders for arc-welding electrodes. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP MACHINERIEEN-EN APPARATEN FABRIEKEN, 30, Croeselaan, Utrecht, Holland. June 22, 1933, No. 17854. Convention date, July 15, 1932. [Class 39 (iii).] The holder comprises a head 5 with an oval or wedge shaped base for receiving the electrode 3 and removably inserted and retained in a tube 7 containing a projecting pin 9 which may be moved axially by a lever 11a to grip the electrode and transmit current thereto. The tube 7 is provided with an extension forming a handle and a flange 16 to which is secured a shield 15. The head is secured to the tube by a staple 8.
