Abstract
404,110. Vulcanizing tyres. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., 32, Osnaburgh Street, London, and NORCROSS, T., Fort Dunlop, Birmingham. Oct. 20, 1932, No. 29342. [Class 70.] In a press for vulcanizing tyres &c., the moulds are separate from the press to facilitate changing, and have tread portions integral with the side moulds ; the side walls are heated by units separate from the moulds, and the treads by units separate from the side wall units. The tread heaters may be part of the moulds. A press, 1, 2, has side-heating chests 8, 11, between which are clamped moulds 12, 13 in which are cored tread-heating chests 9.
