Abstract

404,045. Loom let-off motions. JONAS, A., 48, Disraeli Street, and RUKIN, J. H., 1, Barbon Street, both in Burnley. July 15, 1932, No. 20019. [Class 142 (ii).] The upper brake shoe B of a loom let-off motion is attached by an adjusting screw F to one pivoted arm G and the lower brake shoe is attached to or forms part of a second arm C pivoted further away from the axis of the warp beam than the arm G. The arms G, Care connected by a link H which can be removed to allow the arm G and shoe B to be swung out of the way for insertion of the beam. A hand lever E forms a stop for supporting the arm C when the link H is removed. The link H may comprise a plate fitting within slots in the arms G, C and having slots n to receive pins h<1>, h<4>. An adjusting screw h2 permits the device to be used with beams having ruffles A of different size.
