Abstract

403,902. Packing articles with polished surfaces; wrappers. INTERNATIONAL LATEX PROCESSES, Ltd., 10, Lefebvre Street, St. Peter's Port, Guernsey. July 21, 1933, No. 20579. Convention date, July 30, 1932. [Classes 94 (i) and 94 (ii).] Polished surfaces such as those of automobile parts, fenders, and the like are protected during storage and transport by a sheet 5 of ordinary or crinkled paper secured to the surface 4 by a non-tacky rubber deposit 6 obtained from an aqueous dispersion. The deposit may be first applied to the paper or to the surface 18 to be protected. Softening ingredients such as rosin oil, resin or pitch dispersed in water by means of a hydrophilic colloid, may be added. The aqueous dispersion may be vulcanised, or unvulcanised, and may contain vulcanising ingredients and an accelerating agent.
