Abstract
403,493. Imitation fires. BERRY, H. H., 85, Newman Street, Oxford Street, London. Sept. 28, 1932, No. 26962. [Class 126.] A piece of metal or other material 1 or 11 is attached to the interior of a piece of hollow translucent imitation fuel 2, for the purpose of adding rigidity, acting as a screen for light from a lamp 3, or as a reflector. In the form shown, a domeshaped piece of sheetmetal 1 is attached inside the top of the fuel by adhesive, rivets or the like, or by pressing into the material during the moulding of the fuel. Apart from the provision of the metal reinforcement 1<1> and of a reflector 5 at the bottom, the fire, shown in Fig. 3, is similar to that described in Specification 372,540. The inserted piece of metal may be provided with securing means for mounting it, and the fuel to which it is attached, on a lamp socket by means of the usual screwed ring. In a modification, it may comprise two limbs for securing in two pieces of fuel, which it thus holds in spaced relation.
