Abstract

403,463. Domestic curbs. CROSS, W. A., Apollo Works, Blews Street, Birmingham. July 21, 1932, No. 20563. [Class 126.] To prevent warping, a non-adjustable wooden curb is provided on the underside with a longitudinal groove or channel in which fits an angle-section metal strengthening bar 5, extending substantially throughout the whole length of the curb and secured to it at the base. In the curb shown, Fig. 2 being an underside view, the bar 5 is of T section, and is secured by screws passing through the horizontal flanges 6. It is formed by separate end sections 10, corner sections 11, and a central section 12. Alternatively a central section and rightangled end sections may be employed, and may be welded together at their junctions. Bars of other angular section, for example L section, may be employed.
