[Class 100 (ii).] Identification-plates for automobiles are made from thin sheets of celluloid by subjecting the celluloid to pressure between cold embossing- dies after the celluloid has been rendered pliable by immersion in a hot bath of oil, e.g. castor oil. The embossed lettering and figuring may be painted subsequently in a contrasting colour.
