[Class 52 (v).] In stair - carpet fasteners of the type in which a hooked clip b engageable with the edge of the carpet is supported by. a grooved attachment plate a fixed to the stair riser, the sheet-metal attachment plate has inwardly-facing horizontal grooves or channels a<1>, a<2>, and the lower corners of the plate are extended downwardly on each side of the lower groove a<2> to form a pair of spaced supporting feet a<4> abutting upon the stair tread.
