Abstract
401,294. Cardboard &c. boxes. AUSTIN, E. L., 183, Wimbledon Park Road, Southfields, and IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd., Millbank, both in London. May 5, 1932, No. 13011. Addition to 381,231. [Class 18.] A box or blank therefor made from a single piece of cardboard &c., comprising a bottom portion D, two wings A, B,F, G; A<1>, B<1>, F<1>, G<1> and a double internal partition B, B<1> formed by bent portions of the respective wings, and means for holding the box together consisting of end flaps E, H ; E<1>, H which are adapted to be secured to the outside of the box by means of suitable slits formed in the top of the box. The end flaps may be bifurcated at P, P<1> C, C<1> which engage in slits N, N<1> ; M, M<1> in the top portions F, F<1>. The portions A, A' may be of greater width and bent upwardly to extend diagonally across each of the box compartments to act as stiffeners. The Provisional Specification also describes a modification in which the corners of a notch formed in the outer edge of each of the end flaps engage double slits in the box top. The corners of these flaps may also be tucked into suitable slits.
