400,805. Fuel-injection pumps. JANECEK, F. and JANECEK, F. K., Nusle II, Prague. Jan. 14, 1933, No. 1305. Convention date, Jan. 15, 1932. [Class 102 (i).] In a fuel-injection pump the fuel is trapped between a plunger 3, acted on by a spring 9 and a plunger 2, which is operated by contact with the engine piston or otherwise. The plunger 2 is formed with an extension of reduced diameter, passing through a bore in the plunger 3, and acted on by a spring 12. The plunger 2 controls the suction passage 8 and the plunger 3 controls the discharge passage 10 to the injection valve 4. The discharge of the pump may be varied by throttling the suction passage, or otherwise.
