[Class 3 (ii).] Display or storage apparatus comprises a support for one or more receptacles 18 having each an opening 20 provided therein and mounted for movement from a primary position which may be a display or storage position into a secondary or delivery position in which ready access can be had to the contents, a cover 33 for said opening, a pivot pin carrying said cover, a handle or other operating means 46 associated with the receptacle for moving it from one position to the other, means, e.g. a spring 40 or a resilient strip 47, whereby on movement of a receptacle the cover moves automatically relative to the receptacle so as to open or close the opening therein, the cover having means which pivotably engage said pivot pin to provide a positive closure, which may be airtight, on movement of the receptacle from the secondary to the primary position. The receptacles 18 which are carried by brackets 22, pivotally mounted on the bars 16, 17, are spring-urged at 32 into the display position when the closure is made by the strip 47 engaging the bar above. The bottles &c. are held to the brackets 22 by rubber-covered rods 29, preferably contained in grooves 25 in the bottle &c. side, and the collars 39 which carry the pivots of the covers are also held to the brackets by rubber-covered rods 42. In a modification the handle 46 is replaced by a downwardly directed extension of the strip 47. In another modification, the bottles are of cylindrical shape, carried in pivotally-mounted cradles to which they are attached by stirrup like clamps which resiliently engage the neck shoulders of the bottles. In a further modification, Fig. 6, the covers 33 are carried by arms 52, pivotally carried at 15, the arms 52 forming part of forks 54 which resiliently embrace the receptacle neck. The stand 10 may be of strip or tubular metal and the sides may be of triangular or rectangular form.
