400,061. Reading-desks. KOELINK, J., 41, Laurierstraat, Amsterdam.-(Assignee of Veerman, G.; 118, Frederik Hendrikstraat, Amsterdam.) Feb. 21, 1933, No. 5346. Convention date, March 4, 1932. [Class 52 (iii).] A device for facilitating reading in bed consists of a support 1, Fig. 1, adjustably pivoted to a rod 2 carried by a bracket 6, a pillar 9, and base 14, it is attached by a hook 18 to the head of a bed 19. The book support proper consists of a plate 20, Fig. 2, on the back of which are guides 21 .. 24 for rods 25, 26, 29, 30 secured adjustably by screws 27, 28, 31, 32. The rods 29, 30 carry adjustable rods 38, 40, which by means of spring mountings are fitted over the middle of a book between the open pages. The rods 25, 26 are fitted with similar spring-mounted and adjustable pagefolding arms. Clamp screws for adjustments are fitted at the points 4, 5, 11, 15, 17, Fig. 1.
