Abstract
400,058. Thermionic cathodes. INTERNATIONAL GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Inc., 120, Broadway, New York, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Allgemeine, Elektricitõts.Ges.; 2, Friedrich Karl-Ufer, Berlin.) Feb. 16, 1933, No. 4801. Convention date, Feb. 16, 1932. [Class 39 (i).] A refractory insulating body for an indirectly heated cathode has apertures, in addition to those which may be provided for the reception of the heating element, for the purpose of reducing the volume and heat capacity of the body. As shown, the heating wire 4 is threaded through some only of a number of longitudinal apertures 6 in a refractory core 3 ; or the heater may be wound on a core provided with longitudinal apertures. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller o Specification 362,627.
