399,368. Upholstery &c. trimmings. CHASSAING, F., 21, Rue de la Station, Alfortville, Seine, France. Jan. 26, 1933, No. 2486. Convention date, July 29, 1932. [Class 141.] Relates to joint-covering beadings employed in motor-car bodies, furniture, &c., and of the type in which a cord is contained in a folded over strip of canvas, leather, or the like, and consists in a construction in which a band 13 is interposed between the folded strip 12, said band consisting of threads or fibres laid lengthwise to prevent transverse tearing. Notches 14 may be cut in the folded strip to assist bending. The cord 10 may be of hemp, paper, or jute, and the sheet 12 after being folded is cemented together by a suitable adhesive. The band 13 preferably comprises a tissue without wefts, and consisting of cotton threads held together by latex, indiarubber, casein, &c.
