Abstract

399,035. Printing-surfaces. ADDRESSOGRAPH CO., Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A. Nov. 11, 1932, No. 31944. Convention date, May 23. [Class 100 (ii).] In a holder for an address-printing plate and an index card comprising, in the space between the printing-plate and index card, lips for retaining either or both of these members, the lips are carried by resilient tongues lying in the plane of the holder, the arrangement preventing the lips from being permanently distorted by pressure of the platen. The lips are the only retaining-means that are disposed in the region where distortion by means of the platen is liable to occur. The holder 10 shown in Figs. 1 and 5 comprises curled edges 11, 14 and lips 12, 15 for retaining a printing- plate 20 and an index card 30, the lips being formed on resilient tongues which are produced by means of slits 18, 19. To facilitate introduction of the index card and printing-plate, the offset parts 15a, 12a of the lips 15, 12 are convex in relation to the index card and printing-plate and are arranged to face towards the direction of insertion thereof.
