Abstract
Crystallized trisodium phosphate dodecahydrate is caused to contain a small amount, say up to 1 per cent, of a soap as an integral part of its crystals, as by crystallizing a concentrated solution of the phosphate containing a small amount of a fatty acid soap, or by introducing a fatty acid into the phosphoric acid before its neutralization. A spraying process may be used for producing the crystals, if desired. The product is characterized by its non-caking properties. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the application of the process to hydrates other than the dodecahydrate. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
