Abstract

<PICT:0398887/IV/1> Fabrics of linen, cotton, silk, artificial silk, wool, or worsted are dyed by loosely roping and packing them in an annular space between two concentric perforated cylinders 1, 2 through which the dye liquor is circulated. The fabrics are packed either wet or dry, preferably in eccentric coils. The cover 3 is pressed down on to the fabric to any desired extent by rotation of the wheel 8. The dye liquor enters by the pipe 9 and leaves by the pipe 10, being circulated by any suitable means such as a pump. Specification 2181/83, [Class 15, Bleaching &c.], is referred to.
