398,843. Jacking attachments on vehicles. WESSELS, J. F., 126, Am Wall, Bremen, Germany, and STEVENSON JACKING SYSTEM, Ltd., Owen Road Works, Wolverhampton. March 14, 1932, No. 7516. [Class 79 (iii).] Means for facilitating temporary attachment of a lifting-jack to enable it to be used to raise either side of a road vehicle comprises laterally projecting arms on the vehicle and the jack adapted to be interengaged and so arranged that the jack can remain located outside the chassis frame clear of the running boards &c. The lateral projection on the jack may comprise a square pin e, or a pair of round pins or a flat plate adapted to be inserted into a correspondingly shaped socket or sockets or a guideway formed in a laterally projecting arm d secured directly to the chassis frame c, the non-rotary nature of the engaging parts giving fore-and-aft stability to the vehicle when raised. The reverse arrangement, in which the arm attached to the frame enters a a socketed arm on the jack, may be employed.
