Abstract

398,786. Firebars. LINIGER, M., Visp, Wallis, Switzerland. June 19, 1933, No. 17396. [Class 51 (i).] A fire bar for travelling grates of the kind in which transverse firebars are moved through the furnace on tracks engaged by the ends of the bars is provided at its ends with sleeves 2 secured by rivets 3 to the core 1 and intermediate the sleeves with elements 4 threaded loosely on the core. The sleeves and elements may be round, rectangular, octagonal or other shape in cross section. The elements are of reduced section at one or both sides as shown at 5. The sleeves may be made of iron, steel or gun metal and the elements of refractory material.
