Abstract

398,165. Attaching door knobs to spindles. ROWLEY, Ltd., W. and ROWLEY, W. L., 53, Allesley Street, Aston Road, Birmingham. Feb. 26, 1932, No. 5726. [Class 44.] A door knob 5 is screwed on to a spindle 6 and is held against rotation by a U-shaped key 8 inserted into a slot 9 in the neck of the knob and engaging over the spindle, the key being retained by a sleeve 15 which is screwed on to a boss 14 on the rose plate 11. The rose plate may be permanently secured to the door by spikes 13.
