397,452. Packing photographic films. I. G. FARBENINDUSTRIE AKT.-GES., Frankfort-on-Main, Germany. Nov. 17, 1931, No. 31879. Convention date, Nov. 17, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 98 (ii).] A sensitive flat film, such as is used in X-ray work, is enclosed by wrapping round it several times in the same direction a light-impervious paper band, and closing the package, along the two edges left open, by folded strips as of paper, cardboard, tissue or sheet metal, which may be secured to the paper band by adhesive strips or by turning over the edges. Alternatively, two sheets of paper, each folded once only, may be placed over opposite sides of the film, the two edges left open being closed as before. A thread for slitting open the wrapping may be inserted in one or both of the folded edgestrips. Reference is made to known envelopes for films, which are formed in the same way as envelopes for letters.
