Convention date, June 20, 1931. [Class 29.] Heat-delivery bodies such as the absorber and condenser A, K of a refrigerating apparatus are cooled by an hermetically-closed evaporating condensing system in which the vapour from the circulating liquid is condensed in the mass of the liquid and the liquid is cooled at a point below the heat delivering bodies. The circulating liquid, which has a low vaporizing temperature, is partly vaporised in a pipe 10 surrounding the heat-delivering bodies A, K, the vapour carrying the liquid forward into a separator 16, from which liquid returns to the lower part of the pipe 10 through a pipe 15, and the vapour flows from the separator through a pipe 17 into a conduit 11 containing cold circulating liquid. The liquid rises in the conduit and discharges into an overflow vessel 12 and then circulates through a coil 14 immersed in underground water or other cold source back to the pipe 10.
