Abstract
397,241. Jigging mechanism for sifting - apparatus, conveyers, &c. SMITH, G. E., Meadbourne, Junction Road, Burgess Hill, Sussex. April 12, 1932, No. 10399. [Class 117.] In a mechanism for reciprocating, sifting, conveying, &c. apparatus of the type in which two equal masses rotate at the same speed about a common axis in opposite directions, one of the masses is divided into two equal portions which rotate in parallel planes on opposite sides of the other mass. As shown, an axle D is mounted in bearings E on brackets carried by the moving apparatus and has secured to it a pulley B with an out-of-centre mass B<1>. Two pulleys A, C on opposite sides of the pulley B are mounted on stub axles on the brackets and have out-of-centre masses A<1>, C<1> equal together to the mass B<1>. The pulleys A, C are driven from the pulley B through equal gear wheels G, H.
