Abstract

396,580. Television. ARDENNE, M. VON, 19, Jungfernstieg, Lichterfelde, Berlin. Oct. 17, 1932, No. 28922. Convention date, Oct. 24, 1931. [Class 40 (iii).] In a television system employing a constant intensity cathode beam scanning at a variable speed, the generators 1, 2 supplying the transmitter Braun tube 12 with deflecting potentials, have an aperiodic mixing connection so that both deflecting potentials may be transmitted over a single channel. The mixing connection is preferably a resistance 3 having a tapping 4 connected over a condenser 5 to an amplifier 6 feeding a transmission channel 8. At the receiver, filters 9 separate the deflecting potentials, which are applied to deflecting electrodes of the Braun tube 11. In a modification, condensers are placed in the leads between the generators 1, 2 and the resistance 3 and a tapping is taken from resistance 7 to the grid of valve v (Fig. 3, not shown). Specifications 355,319, 392,810, and 397,688 are referred to.
