396,403. Feeding strip or wire soundrecords. SCHUCHHARDT BERLINER FERNSPRECH-UND TELEGRAPHENWERKE AKT.-GES., F., 55, K÷penickerstrasse, Berlin. Feb. 2, 1932, No. 3120. Convention date, Feb. 2, 1931. [Class 40 (ii).] Apparatus for driving a strip or wire soundrecord at a uniform speed comprises a uniformly driven flywheel round which the strip or wire is led and a band overlying and pressing the strip &c. against the flywheel and driven at the same speed. Slip is thereby prevented. As shown, the strip &c. T, Fig. 1, is directed by rolls K<1>, K<2> round a flywheel R driven uniformly from a motor M, and a band B led round rolls S1 .. S4 presses the strip &c. against the flywheel. The band B may be of elastic fabric or may be held tight by a spring P pulling on an arm carrying the roll S<1>, and may be driven from the flywheel by the engagement therewith of the sides of its inner face, as shown in Fig. 3 applied to driving a wire T. The band B may engage sprocket teeth r<1>, r<2> on the flywheel.
