Abstract

649,199. Typewriters &c. ERICSSON BROS., Ltd., and SIMPSON, A. W. June 29, 1948, No. 17455. [Class 100 (iv)] Sheet and strip feeding arrangements.-A feeding device comprises an endless flexible but unstretchable band b, provided on its outside surface with pins a, for engaging perforations in the sheet or strip, and on its inside surface with projections f engaged by a driving-wheel c. The projections f may be formed by shanks of the pins a extending through the band where they are riveted over washers. The projections f engage in recesses g in the driving-wheel c, which is secured to a driving-shaft j; a non- driven wheel d on a shaft k may be similarly formed or may contain an annular groove h to receive the projections f. The shaft k is mounted on a slidable block, spring-urged away from the other shaft j, to keep the band in tension.
