396,290. Suction dentures. KACZMAREK, E., 26, Roonstrasse, Hermsdorf, Berlin. Jan. 9, 1933, No. 718. Convention date, Jan. 9, 1932. [Class 81 (ii).] In a denture of the kind formed with a suction chamber closed by a non-return valve, the valve comprises a disc a vulcanized in the denture to form the base of the suction chamber s and formed with three perforations m through which air is sucked and with a central aperture for the stem g of a valve plate c formed with circular apertures f registering with the perforations m. The valve plate c is fitted with a cap-shaped washer d and a plain washer e, preferably formed of indiarubber. Preferably the valve is provided with a spring b clamped to the rim of the disc a and formed with a slot engaging beneath the head of the valve stem g so as to press the valve plate and washers against the disc a. Peripheral holes n in the disc a give a better grip on the vulcanite of the denture. If desired only one rubber washer may be employed.
