Abstract
395,495. Packing tennis balls in cans &c. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., 32, Osnaburgh Street, London, and WILLSHAW, H., Fort Dunlop, Birmingham. June 4, 1932, No. 15780. [Classes 66 and 94 (i).] Tennis or similar balls are stored under fluid pressure in a metal container 1 which has one end 3 of thinner metal than the remainder, so that it bulges or moves outwardly as the internal pressure is increased and affords a rough measure of the pressure. Preferably the end is normally slightly concave, as in Fig. 2, and when the requisite pressure is attained becomes convex, as in Fig. 3. The inflation orifice may be at the other end of the container and may be sealed with solder. A lid covering the end 3 is provided with a cutter of a known kind.
