[Class 103 (i).] A sprocket 9, adapted to be connected to a shaft 30 by a clutch 58, is provided with a brake rim 108. The clutch 58 is operated by a shipper 145 connected through a link 171 with a crank 168, whereby on disengagement of the clutch, a rod 156 is rotated and acts through cams 162, 163, to apply brake shoes 154 to the rim 108. Springs 158 free the brakes on engagement of the clutch.
