394,710. Television receivers. MAR. CONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., Marconi House, Strand, DOWSETT, H. M., 47, Drayton Gardens, Winchmore Hill, both in London, and PLAISTOWE, D. L., 21, Oakleigh Park Drive, Leigh-on- Sea. Jan. 1, 1932, No. 91. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (iii).] A television receiver has at least two scanning devices 2, 3, Fig. 1, arranged to be driven together so that with the same received signals a plurality of similar images are produced, one of which serves for monitoring. The received signals may be applied to two neon lamps 4, 5, connected in parallel, or to a lamp having two strip anodes A1, A2, Fig. 3, so as to give a discharge glow on both sides of the platelike cathode C. In order to provide for reproduction with either vertical or horizontal scanning lines, two lamps 4A, 4B, Fig. 4, may be provided positioned at the end of mutually perpendicular radii and a mirror 6 may reflect the monitoring image through an aperture, near the controls, in the side of a cabinet (Fig. 5, not shown).
