Abstract
392,869. Television receivers. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., Marconi House. Strand, London.- (Assignees of Batchelor, J. C. ; Edgewater Park, New Jersey, U.S.A.) Jan. 16, 1933, No. 1408. Convention date, Jan. 15, 1932. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (iii).] In television receivers, the colour of the image due to the nature of the Neon tube or fluorescent screen, is compensated by projecting unmodulated light, complementary to the colour of the image, on to the image screen. As applied to cathode-ray receivers, a source of unmodulated light 11 illuminates the image screen 3 and is either inherently or by means of a filter 13 complementary in colour to that of the image. The cathode-ray tube preferably has an inner metallic coating 7, apertured at 9 to allow the light to pass. The screen 3 may be illuminated by lamps in front of it, Fig. 2 (not shown).
