Abstract

393,710. Spray-producers. OWEN, W., Scatterdells Lane, Chipperfield, Hertfordshire. March 10, 1932, No. 7194. [Class 69 (iii).] A paint container D, Figs. 1 and 2, is detachably mounted on a paint gun by an arched member C<1> attachedthereto and clamped to the forward part of the gun by a screw C<8>. The gun comprises a member A having a central paint passage controlled by a triggeroperated needle valve F and parallel air passages J<4>, Fig. 3, leading from an air chamber J<2> to a recess J<5> in the forward part thereof in which an air nozzle L screws. The air valve J and needle valve are simultaneously opened against the action of a spring J<7> by a trigger B<3> connected to the valve by a flexible wire J<9>. Air is supplied through a passage A in the body of the pistol. A cross bore H in the member A prevents air leaking past the needle F reaching the paint passages. The paint vessel is provided with a lid having a conical boss c<2> connected to the dip tube c<6> and engaging a conical recess in the head A containing a radial paint passage C. The paint nozzle K<1> is formed in a forward extension of the conical member K formed in the member A.
