Abstract

[Class 5 (ii).] In an incubator, of the type comprising a cabinet a containing an egg-tray rack in the form of a casing b which is spaced on all sides from the walls of the cabinet so that air can be made to flow downwards through the casing and upwards through the space between the casing and the cabinet walls, the front wall of the casing being, as a separate structure, carried by and spaced from the hinged door of the cabinet, the casing b is formed with an open top and with spacing elements in the form of lugs c and a flange c<1>, and the front wall or the casing is attached to the door f by means of springs e which hold it in position against the casing when the door f is shut. The air may be circulated by a fan g arranged over a thermostaticallycontrolled heating-element l and under an aperture d in the bottom of the casing, an annular water pan h surrounding such aperture. The walls of the casing b may be perforated. Air enters the cabinet through an adjustable inlet m and leaves through vents l.
