Abstract

392,828. Electric battery lamps. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R., 4, Militõrstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany. Oct. 27, 1932, No. 30090. Convention date, Jan. 16. [Class 39 (ii).] In an electric battery lamp provided with a holder for an interchangeable battery, a lever mounted on the holder has one end engaging the battery in such a wav that when the other end is actuated or moved by the hand the battery is forced out of its holder. The battery holder comprises a metal strip b with two arms c, d bent to clamp the battery e between them, the intermediate portion of the strip b being riveted to the base of the lamp casing a. The arm c is extended upwardly to form a handle to which is riveted one end of a leaf spring f, shaped to conform with the arm c, the free end of the spring f being in contact with the portion of the strip b on the bottom of the casing. To remove the battery e the arm c is pushed outwardly, as shown in Fig. 2, whereupon the grip upon the battery is released and it is lifted upwardly by the leaf-spring f. The end g of the arm d is bent to abut against the wall of the casing a.
