392,813. Machines for working land. DUFOUR, L., Versoix, near Geneva, Switzerland. Oct. 5, 1932, No. 27700. Convention date, Oct. 7, 1931. [Class 6 (i).] A rotary - disc plough having a toothed concave disc driven by the motor which drives the travelling wheels is reversed by turning the disc from one side of the plough to the other about an axis of symmetry lying in a vertical plane extending in the direction of running of the machine, and by reversing its driving gear, so that it may always rotate in the same direction as the wheels. The disc 4 has symmetrical teeth 4<1> with both edges sharp. It is driven from the motor 1 through bevel gearing 6, 8 and shafts 5, 7, and through reversing gearing contained in a box B and controlled by a lever 12. The disc is reversed by turning it about the axis of the shaft 5 by means of a lever 9 on the casing enclosing the driving gearing. In a modification the disc is driven through a longitudinal shaft and a vertical shaft and is reversed by turning it about the vertical shaft.
