Abstract
392,803. Drying carpets. MONFORTS, J., 21, Kronprinzenatrasse, Gladbach, Munich, Germany. Sept. 22, 1932, No. 26398. Convention date, Nov. 24, 1931. [Class 34 (i).] A machine for drying carpets, e.g. for use after sizing, has two heated drying drums in series, and guide rollers arranged for feeding the carpet to the first drum and off the second, the carpet passing between the drums without its pile side touching a guide roller. One or both of the guide rollers may be resiliently mounted. In the form shown, the entering wet or sized material passes over guide rollers 4 .. 7, over the drying drums C, D, and, when completely dried, leaves by way of rollers 8, 9,10. The rollers 7, 8 are resiliently mounted.
