Abstract

391,923. Photographic view-finders. GWOZDECKI, G., 415, East 51st Street, New York, U.S.A. Feb. 1, 1932, No. 3036. Convention date, Feb. 2, 1931. Drawings to Specification. [Class 98 (i).] View-finding apparatus for photographic and kinematograph cameras comprises a convex mirror of substantially the same perimetrical shape as the'plate or portion of the film to be exposed and attached to the camera so as to be capable of being brought into position in front of the camera. The mirror may be of the same dimensions as the plate or film, and possess a curvature such that the image visible in the mirror is of the same size as that formed by the objective of the camera. The mirror may be hinged to the camera front or carried between slide bars so as to be capable of being moved into position in front of the lens, a round hole or unsilvered portion being provided to allow the photograph to be taken with the mirror in place. Alternatively the mirror may be carried by a frame provided with a collar to fit detachably over the lens mount.
